Custom Stretch Table Covers
Custom Stretch Table Covers
The sharpest table at the event is the one that looks built, not dressed. A stretch cover pulls tight over a 6 ft or 8 ft folding table, all the way down to the feet, so the table becomes a clean printed block with no folds, no drape and no loose hem. All-over dye sublimation on 8.8 oz polyester table fabric, with canvas loops that fasten to each leg.
- Two lengths, for standard 6 ft and 8 ft collapsible folding tables
- Tight modern fit, the fabric follows the table frame instead of draping over it
- All-over print, top, front, ends and back, in full colour dye sublimation
- Canvas leg loops included, so the cover stays put in wind and foot traffic
- Machine washable and light enough to pack in a bag
- Ships the next business day when your artwork is approved before 4pm PT
What makes a stretch cover different
A traditional table throw is a large sheet of fabric that sits on top of the table and falls in folds. A stretch cover is cut smaller than the table and pulled over the frame, so the fabric is under tension from the top edge down to the floor. The result is the look of a custom-built counter: flat panels, crisp edges and a print you can read from every angle.
It also behaves better. There is no loose fabric to catch the wind at an outdoor event, nothing for visitors to tread on, and nothing to straighten every time somebody leans on the front of the table.
How it goes on
Open the table, slide the cover over one end and walk it along to the other, then fasten the canvas loops around each leg. That pulls the fabric taut down to the feet and holds it there for the whole day. One person can do it in a couple of minutes, and it comes off just as quickly at the end.
Because the fit is snug, a stretch cover is made for the standard collapsible folding table used at most trade shows and events. Check the length of the table you will use. If the venue is supplying it, get the size in writing.
Stretch, fitted or draped
We make three styles of rectangular cover, and each one suits a different stand.
- Stretch, this page. The most modern look, fully enclosed, ideal for product launches, demos and brand-forward booths. There is no open back, so it suits tables you stand beside rather than sit behind.
- Fitted. Sewn to the table with boxed corners, available with an open back for sitting behind the table.
- Draped. The classic table throw, in 4 ft, 6 ft and 8 ft, with a softer look and an open or closed back.
Setting up your artwork
The cover prints from one flat file built to the template for your table length. The rules that matter for large format fabric:
- No crop marks and no bleed. Fabric is cut to the template, not trimmed down.
- 150 dpi is the target, not 300. At this size 150 dpi is plenty and keeps the file manageable.
- CMYK, with fonts outlined. Convert Pantone and spot colours, and turn live fonts into outlines.
Send a single page PDF or a JPEG, up to 300MB. We check every file before it prints and come back to you if anything needs changing.
Designing for a stretch cover
Every surface is visible on a stretch cover, including the top until you load it with products, and the fabric is tight, so artwork reads exactly as you designed it. Use that. Put your logo high on the front panel, a short line or web address on each end for people approaching along the aisle, and keep the bottom quiet because chairs and bags will cover it. Bold colour edge to edge looks far more deliberate than a small logo in a sea of plain fabric.
Add height with a pull-up banner behind the table and a tabletop banner on top, and put prices or offers on a table tent card.
Care and storage
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then hang or lay flat to dry. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry and do not iron. Stretch fabric releases most creases on its own once it is pulled over the table, and a hand steamer handles the rest.

Specifications

Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

Answers about artwork, production and ordering.
How does a stretch table cover stay on the table?
The cover is cut to pull tight over the table frame, and it comes with canvas loops that fasten around each leg during setup. Once the loops are on, the fabric is held taut from the top edge down to the feet, so it does not slide, sag or lift in a breeze. Setting one up takes a couple of minutes and one person can do it.
Will a stretch cover fit my table?
Stretch covers are made for the standard 6 ft and 8 ft collapsible folding tables used at most trade shows and events. Because the fabric is pulled tight, the fit matters more than on a draped throw, so check the length of the table you will use before you order. If the venue is supplying the table, ask them for the size in writing.
How should I set up artwork for a table cover?
Send a single page PDF or a JPEG, up to 300MB, in CMYK at 150 dpi. Build the file to the finished panel size with no crop marks and no bleed, because fabric this size is cut to the template rather than trimmed down. Convert any Pantone or spot colours to CMYK and convert live fonts to outlines. 300 dpi is not needed at this physical size and only gives you a file four times larger. We check every file before it prints and come back to you if anything needs changing.
What does dye sublimation mean for a table cover?
The design is printed with heat, which turns the ink into a gas that bonds with the polyester fibres. The colour ends up inside the fabric instead of sitting on top of it as a layer, so there is nothing to crack, peel or flake off along the fold lines. The cover stays soft, it drapes properly rather than standing stiff, and the print survives being folded into a bag and washed between events.
How fast can I get a printed table cover?
Covers go into production the next business day when artwork is approved before 4pm Pacific, and shipping time sits on top of that depending on the service you choose at checkout. If you are working to a fixed event date, order with a few days of slack. The artwork check is where most delays start, and a file that needs changing costs a day.
How do I wash and store a printed table cover?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then lay flat or hang to dry. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, and do not iron it. Heat is what fixed the colour into the fabric, and an iron is the one household thing hot enough to damage the print. Creases come out with a hand steamer, and light creasing drops out on its own within an hour of the cover being stretched over a table. Fold loosely between events and vary where the folds land so you do not set a permanent line.
