Yard Signs 8mm
Yard Signs 8mm
8mm coroplast yard signs — rigid, self-supporting panels for permanent-feeling outdoor signage. Printed full color on heavy corrugated plastic in 18 sizes, with eight grommet patterns, single or double-sided printing and optional H-stakes. Ready in 4 to 5 business days.
- 8mm coroplast — twice the thickness of standard, holds its shape in serious wind
- Long-term outdoor use — site boards, sponsor panels, permanent directional signage
- 18 sizes including large 36" x 48" and 48" x 48" panels
- Eight grommet patterns plus stake-mount option
- Quantity breaks up to 200 signs
Choose your print sides
- Printed 1 sided (4/0) — for panels fixed flat against fencing, hoarding or a wall.
- Printed 2 sided (4/4) — a different message on each face, for two directions of approach.
- Printed 2 sided — same image — identical artwork both faces, for freestanding installation.
Choose your grommet pattern
- No grommets — stake mounting into grass or soil.
- Top 2 corners — hanging installations.
- All 4 corners — the standard for zip-tying to chain-link or site fencing.
- Real estate top only / top and bottom — fits standard hanging frames and rider bars.
- Every 2–3 feet on top and bottom, sides, or all around — essential on large panels: more attachment points spread wind load and stop the sign tearing at a corner.
Where 8mm earns its cost
At 8mm, a large panel stops behaving like a sheet and starts behaving like a board. That is what you need for construction hoarding, sports-field sponsor boards, industrial site signage, and any sign that will stay in place through a full season of weather. It also survives being transported in a truck bed and reinstalled at the next site, which thinner coroplast rarely does more than a few times.
For short campaigns and disposable signage, 4mm or 6mm is the sensible spend. For the stiffest option available, see 10mm coroplast.
Mounting large coroplast panels safely
Wind load rises fast with area. On anything 24" x 48" or larger, use grommets every 2 to 3 feet rather than corners only, and attach with UV-rated zip ties or through-bolts with washers so the fastener does not pull through the plastic. If the panel is going on stakes, use two H-stakes rather than one and push them fully into the flutes so the sign is supported across its width.

Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

Answers about artwork, production and ordering.
Is 4mm coroplast thick enough?
For the jobs these signs are built for, yes. All coroplast is equally waterproof — thickness only buys stiffness, and 4mm is the weight yard signs print on here. It holds its shape on a stake through a campaign season, an open-house weekend or an event run, and it stores flat between uses. For a panel that has to stay rigid outdoors for a year or more, choose a rigid board rather than corrugated plastic.
Do I need grommets if I'm using ground stakes?
No — choose the no-grommets option. An H-stake works by sliding its two legs up inside the hollow flutes of the coroplast, so no holes are needed. Grommets are for hanging or zip-tying a sign to a fence. Plan on one stake per sign up to 18" x 24" and two for anything wider, and push them in by the horizontal bar rather than by pressing on the sign itself.
What is the difference between 4/4 and 4/4 same image?
Both print on two sides. "4/4" means two different designs, one per face — useful when traffic approaching from each direction needs different information, such as opposite arrows. "4/4 same image" prints identical artwork on both faces, which is what you want for a freestanding sign read from either direction.
