How a pull-up banner works

The printed banner is wound onto a spring-loaded roller inside the aluminum base. You stand the base on the floor, pull the top rail up, and drop it onto a telescoping pole that clicks into the back of the base. To pack down, unhook the rail and let the banner retract into the housing. Because the banner lives inside a sealed cassette between events, it does not get creased, scuffed or dusty the way a rolled banner does.

Designing a banner people read from across a hall

The top third is the only part reliably visible over a crowd — put your logo and your single biggest claim there. The middle third is read by someone standing at your booth: three or four short lines maximum. The bottom foot is often blocked by a table, a chair or a person's legs, so treat the lowest 8 inches as decorative and never put contact details there.

Build the artwork at 33" x 81" at 100–150 DPI in CMYK. Add 2" of extra image at the bottom that will disappear into the cassette, and keep all content at least 2" in from the left and right edges so the rail clamps do not cut into it.

Choosing between our pull-up banners

This silver-base model is the everyday workhorse. The black base version is the same banner with a black anodized finish, which disappears better against dark carpet and dark booth walls. The premium pull-up banner upgrades to a heavier stand that stands more securely in high-traffic aisles. For a counter or table display, the tabletop pull-up banner is an 11" x 18" version of the same mechanism, and the wide pull-up banner gives you a 48"-wide backdrop.
