A-Frame Stands
A-Frame Stands
A-frame stands — the folding hardware that turns two printed panels into a sidewalk sign. Available in 18" x 24" and 36" x 24" to match our A-frame sign panels. Ready the next business day.
- Folding A-frame construction — opens to stand, folds flat to carry and store
- Holds two panels, one facing each direction of traffic
- Two sizes matched to our printed panels
- Reusable indefinitely — change the message, keep the frame
Which size do you need?
- 18" x 24" — the standard sidewalk footprint. Narrow enough to sit beside a doorway without blocking the path, light enough to put out and bring in daily.
- 36" x 24" — a wide landscape frame for larger panels with menus, price lists or multiple offers. Needs more sidewalk width, so check your local rules before choosing it.
Why buy the frame separately
The frame is the durable part and the graphic is the consumable part. A stand bought once will outlast dozens of printed panels, which means changing your sidewalk message costs the price of two sheets of coroplast panels rather than a whole new sign. Restaurants that change a daily special, shops running seasonal promotions and venues with a rotating event schedule all work this way.
Keeping a sidewalk sign upright
An open A-frame catches wind like a sail on both faces. Weight the bottom rail with a sandbag or a water weight if your sidewalk is exposed, and angle the frame so the narrow edge faces the prevailing wind rather than a flat face. Fold and bring the sign in overnight — it protects the frame, protects the panels, and removes the most common cause of both damage and theft.
Check your local sidewalk rules before placing one. Most cities specify a minimum clear walking width and some require a permit; a sign that gets removed by the city is an expensive way to learn that.

Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

Answers about artwork, production and ordering.
How do I stop my A-frame blowing over?
An open A-frame catches wind on both faces. Weight the bottom rail with a sandbag or water weight on exposed sidewalks, and angle the frame so its narrow edge faces the prevailing wind. Bring it in overnight — that removes the two most common causes of loss, wind damage and theft. Check your local sidewalk width rules before placing one.
Do A-frame signs come with the frame?
No — these are the printed coroplast panels. If you do not already have hardware, order A-frame stands in the matching size. Buying them separately is deliberate: the frame lasts for years, so refreshing your sidewalk message later costs only the price of two printed sheets.
