When staff need to write on it
The receptionist writes the appointment date, the technician notes the quote, the trainer fills in the session count — then the customer tears off that card and keeps it. Glossy stock can't do this; matte can. That's the whole reason dental offices, clinics, and service businesses choose it.
How the perforation works
Cards ship pre-perforated so the bottom section separates cleanly by hand. Design the tear-off as the keeper — appointment card, coupon, punch card, referral slip — with your pitch above it.

Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

Can staff write on a matte tear card?
Yes, and that is the reason most clinics, salons and service shops choose matte over gloss. The uncoated matte finish takes ballpoint and gel pen without smearing, so the front desk can write the next appointment date, a name or a service code directly on the tear-off before handing it over.
How is a matte tear card different from the high-gloss version?
Matte has no shine, reads easily under bright light and can be written on. High-gloss tear cards have a reflective coating that makes photos and saturated color pop but resists pen ink. Choose matte for appointment reminders and anything staff will annotate; choose gloss for image-driven promotions.
