What this box is good for

It is a working box, not a presentation box. Use it to ship a run of printed material to a client or a second location, to store leftover stock from a campaign, to pack samples and swatch sets, or to move display materials between events. At 9" x 12" x 9" it takes letter-size printed sheets flat with room to spare, and it is small enough that a full box is still comfortable to carry.

Packing print so it arrives flat

The two things that ruin printed stock in transit are bent corners and movement. Pack sheets flat, not on edge, and fill the remaining depth so nothing can slide — crumpled paper, air pillows or an offcut of board on top all work. If the box is not full, it will get crushed, because a partially filled carton has no structural support in the middle.

For anything with a coated or laminated finish, slip a sheet of plain paper between the printed stack and the box wall. Cardboard dust and coated surfaces do not mix well over a long journey.
