Choose your two-sided option

• Printed 2 sided (4/4) — two different designs. Use this when the banner stands between two areas that need different messages: a menu on the restaurant side and a promotion on the street side, or English on one face and a second language on the other.
• Printed 2 sided — same image — identical artwork on both faces. The usual choice for a banner in an open floor, a corridor or a lobby, where everyone should see the same thing regardless of which way they walk in.

Where a double-sided banner is the only sensible option

Any time the banner is not against a wall. Freestanding in an aisle, at the end of a corridor, beside an escalator, in the middle of a foyer, at a registration point people approach from two directions, or dividing two zones at an event. A single-sided banner in any of those positions shows a blank white back to half the audience — which looks like a mistake, because it is one.

Designing both faces

Supply two separate files, each at 33" x 81", 100–150 DPI, CMYK. Give each 2" of extra image at the bottom for the cassette and 2" of safe margin at the sides. If you are running the same design both sides, note that neither face is mirrored — they are two independent prints, so no reversing is needed.

Keep the two faces visually related even when the content differs. Matching color, logo position and typography makes the banner read as one object rather than two signs stuck back to back.
