Styrene Signs
Styrene Signs
Styrene signs are thin, flexible plastic panels — tougher than foam board, lighter than PVC, and they will not absorb moisture. Printed full color on 20pt styrene in 18 sizes, single or double-sided, with next-business-day production available.
- 20pt styrene plastic — smooth, durable and completely moisture-proof
- Slight flex — it bends rather than snapping, which makes it survive handling and shipping
- Clean printed surface with none of the fluted texture of corrugated plastic
- 18 sizes from 12" x 12" to 48" x 48"
- Next-business-day production available
Choose your print sides
- Printed 1 sided (4/0) — color front, white back, for wall-mounted and shelf-mounted signage.
- Printed 2 sided (4/4) — different artwork on each face, for hanging signs read from both sides.
- Printed 2 sided — same image — identical both faces, for suspended aisle and ceiling signage.
What styrene is actually for
Styrene sits in a useful gap. Foam board looks great but dents and cannot get wet. Coroplast is weatherproof but has a visible corrugated texture. Sintra and aluminum are rigid but heavy and more expensive. Styrene gives you a smooth, printable, waterproof plastic panel at a thickness that still cuts and drills easily.
That combination suits point-of-purchase displays, shelf and aisle signage, menu boards, washroom and wayfinding signs, equipment labels, and anywhere signage might get wiped down or splashed — kitchens, salons, clinics, gyms and pool areas in particular.
Working with 20pt styrene
Because it flexes, styrene is best supported along at least two edges or mounted flat to a surface rather than left to span a gap. Attach with double-sided tape, hook-and-loop strips, screws with finish washers, or slide it into a standard sign holder. It cuts with a utility knife and a straight edge if you need to trim on site.
Set artwork up at 100–150 DPI at final size in CMYK with 0.125" bleed. Keep important content 0.5" inside the trim so nothing is lost if the panel goes into a frame with a lip.

Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

Answers about artwork, production and ordering.
How does styrene compare to foam board and coroplast?
Styrene sits between them. Foam board prints beautifully but dents and cannot get wet. Coroplast is weatherproof but shows a fluted texture. Styrene gives you a smooth, printable, fully waterproof plastic panel that flexes rather than snapping — ideal for point-of-purchase, wayfinding and anywhere signage gets wiped down.
How do I mount a styrene sign?
Because 20pt styrene flexes, support it along at least two edges or mount it flat rather than letting it span a gap. Double-sided tape, hook-and-loop strips, screws with finish washers, or a standard sign holder all work. It cuts with a utility knife and a straight edge if you need to trim it on site.
