X-frame banners are the lightest, cheapest way to put a 23.6" x 63" graphic on its feet. Printed full color on 13oz matte vinyl with grommets at all four corners, and an optional collapsible X-stand. Ready the next business day.

Do you need the stand?
- Include the stand if this is your first X-banner or you want a complete ready-to-use display. The frame is a folding X of lightweight poles that tensions the banner at its four grommets.
- Graphic only if you already own an X-frame. This is exactly why X-banners suit businesses that change messaging often: the frame lasts for years and each new campaign costs only the price of a printed graphic.
X-frame or retractable — which should you buy?
X-frames win on cost and weight. The frame is a few poles rather than a spring cassette, so a complete unit costs less and weighs less than a retractable pull-up banner, and swapping graphics later is close to free.
Retractables win on stability and finish. A pull-up has a weighted base that resists being knocked, and the banner stores inside its own housing so it never gets creased. An X-frame is a light structure holding a tensioned sheet — excellent indoors on a flat floor, less happy in a busy aisle or anywhere there is a draught.
Setting up and storing an X-banner
Assemble the frame first, then hook the top two grommets, then stretch down and hook the bottom two. Doing it in that order puts even tension across the banner; hooking diagonally is what causes the wavy look you sometimes see on badly set-up X-banners.
Store the graphic loosely rolled with the print facing out, never folded. A fold in vinyl leaves a permanent crease that catches light and will be visible at every future event.
Designing for a tall narrow format
At 23.6" wide there is no room for a two-column layout. Stack everything: logo at the top, one headline, two or three supporting lines, and a call to action. Keep the bottom 10 inches free of essential content — that area sits below waist height and is regularly blocked. Build files at 23.6" x 63", 100–150 DPI, CMYK, with 1" of safe margin all round so the corner grommets never punch through artwork.

Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.
