Security Envelopes
Security Envelopes
What's inside stays inside. Security envelopes print on 60lb security-tinted stock — a patterned inner lining that makes contents unreadable through the paper.
- Printed security tint inside
- #10 business size, window or no window
- 60lb uncoated · branded outside
- Order from 100
For mail that shouldn't be readable from the outside
Payroll, invoices, statements, checks, medical notices, legal correspondence — hold a plain envelope to the light and the contents show through. The interior security pattern scrambles that, so account numbers and balances stay private from the mailbox to the desk.
Choose your format
- #10 no window (4.125″ × 9.5″) — you print or label the address on the envelope. Best when the recipient's address isn't on the document itself.
- #10 window (4.125″ × 9.5″) — the address on your folded statement or invoice shows through the window. No second addressing step, no mismatch errors, and the security tint still hides everything else.
About the ink coverage option
Pick the band your outside artwork falls into: 1–25% (logo and return address), 26–50% (color band or partial graphic), or 51–75% (heavy color coverage). Our free file review confirms it before printing.

Security envelopes FAQ
How does the security tint work?
A dense pattern is printed on the inside of the envelope, so light passing through doesn't reveal the text of the document inside.
Can I still brand the outside?
Yes — full color printing on the front, same as our standard envelopes.
Standard version?
Custom Envelopes in seven sizes.
High-volume mailing?
Self-Seal Envelopes speed up stuffing days considerably.

Every order gets a free file review before printing. Here's what to know about specs, artwork, proofing, and delivery.
Specifications
Quantity: 100, 250, 500, 750, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000. Configuration: Standard
Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

Answers about artwork, production and ordering.
How does a security envelope protect what is inside?
A security envelope has a printed tint pattern on the inside face. The pattern breaks up the outline of whatever is inside, so a check amount, an account number or a signature cannot be read by holding the envelope up to a light. It is standard for payroll, checks, statements and anything with account details.
Can I still print my logo on a security envelope?
Yes. The security tint is on the inside; the outside prints your return address, logo and any color band exactly like a standard custom envelope. Outside printing is priced by ink coverage band, so a return address and logo falls in the lowest band.
