Custom Envelopes

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Custom Envelopes

Branding that arrives before the letter is opened. Custom envelopes on 60lb uncoated stock in seven sizes — including #10 business envelopes with or without a window.

  • 7 sizes including #10 business standard
  • Window and no-window options
  • 60lb uncoated — mail-ready
  • Order from 100

The first thing your customer sees

A plain white envelope gets sorted with the junk; a branded one gets opened. Invoices, statements, proposals, welcome kits, and direct mail all land better when your logo is on the outside.

Choose your size

  • 4.125″ × 9.5″ — #10, no window: the standard US business envelope. Letters, invoices, statements.
  • 4.125″ × 9.5″ — #10, window: same size with a clear address window — the address on your folded invoice shows through, so nothing is addressed twice.
  • 4.375″ × 5.75″ — A2: greeting cards, invitations, RSVP returns, thank-you notes.
  • 5.25″ × 7.25″ — A7: the classic 5″×7″ invitation envelope. Weddings and formal events.
  • 5.875″ × 9″: mid-size for booklets, brochures, and folded documents.
  • 9″ × 12″: catalog envelope. Unfolded 8.5″×11″ documents, folders, media kits.
  • 10″ × 13″: the largest — for presentation folders, booklets, and thick packets.

About the ink coverage option

Envelope pricing depends on how much of the surface your design covers, so you'll pick a coverage band: 1–25% (logo and return address — the most economical), 26–50% (a band of color or partial pattern), or 51–75% (heavy color across most of the envelope). Choose the band your artwork actually falls into and our file review will confirm it.

Custom envelopes FAQ

Window or no window?
Choose a window if you print addresses on the document itself (invoices, statements) — it removes a whole addressing step. No-window is standard for letters and mailers.

Which coverage band do I need?
Logo plus return address only = 1–25%. A colored band or partial graphic = 26–50%. Full-bleed color = 51–75%.

Need a privacy tint inside?
Security Envelopes hide the contents.

No licking?
Self-Seal Envelopes use a peel-and-stick closure.

Artwork requirements

Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.

Proofing and production

Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.

Shipping and delivery

Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

HELPFUL BEFORE YOU ORDER

Helpful before you order

Answers about artwork, production and ordering.

What does the ink coverage option mean when I order envelopes?

Envelope pricing is driven by how much of the envelope your artwork covers. 1-25% coverage suits a return address and a small logo. 26-50% covers a logo plus a color band or stripe. 51-75% covers heavier designs with large blocks of color or a full-color backer. Pick the band that matches your design and the price updates automatically.

Which envelope size should I choose?

#10 is the standard business size for letters and invoices, and the window version lets a printed address show through so you do not have to address each one. A2 and A7 are announcement sizes for invitations and greeting cards. 5.875" x 9" fits a folded letter with room to spare, while 9" x 12" and 10" x 13" are flat mailers for unfolded documents, catalogs and presentation kits.

Should I choose a window or a no-window envelope?

Choose a window envelope if you print addresses onto the letter itself, which is standard for invoicing and statement mail. Choose no-window if you address the envelope directly or want an uninterrupted design surface. Window envelopes only work if your letter template puts the address in the right position, so test one before printing a large run.
