The flag shape built for logos. A custom teardrop flag curves into a wide, rounded print area, so your logo, a big word or a bold graphic sits large and uncropped instead of squeezed into a narrow strip. It keeps its shape in still air, which makes it as good inside a showroom as it is out on the curb. Dye sublimated on 4 oz polyester mesh, on a tool free pole set with a ground stake included.

Teardrop or feather
A feather flag is tall and narrow, perfect for a vertical word like OPEN or SALE and for maximum height. A teardrop flag is shorter and far wider, so it carries a logo, a product photo or a short brand name much better. Many businesses run both: feathers on the roadside to pull people in, teardrops at the entrance or inside to show the brand.
Where teardrop flags work
Store entrances and showrooms, trade show booths, car dealerships, real estate open houses, golf and sports events, marathons and charity runs, festivals, markets, church and school events, and anywhere indoors where a feather flag would hang limp.

- 9 ft (Medium), graphic 32.54 × 78.64 in. A strong all round indoor and outdoor size.
- 11.2 ft (Large), graphic 40.38 × 101.63 in. The best all round outdoor size for storefronts and events.
- 13.5 ft (X-Large), graphic 44.95 × 140.75 in. The biggest print and the most presence for lots and open sites.
Single sided, reversed or double sided
- Single sided: the ink goes through the mesh, so the back shows the design mirrored and a little lighter. Pole sleeve on the left when viewed from the front.
- Single sided, reversed: the same print with the pole sleeve on the right. Same price.
- Double sided: two prints sewn back to back with a blockout layer in between, so a logo or text reads correctly from both sides.
Choose a base
- Ground stake, included: aluminum, for grass, soil and sand, with a ball bearing so the flag swivels in the wind.
- Cross base: aluminum, for indoor floors and pavement.
- Cross base + water bag: extra weight for hard ground outdoors.
- Square base: heavy steel for permanent spots.
- Cross base + ground stake: both, for a flag that goes anywhere.

Setting up your artwork
Download the template for your height and printed sides and design on the artwork layer. Send a single page PDF or JPEG in CMYK at 150 dpi, up to 300MB, with no crop marks and no bleed. Double sided flags need two files. Convert spot colours to CMYK and fonts to outlines. Centre the logo in the widest part of the teardrop, keep it clear of the pole sleeve, and leave the narrow bottom tip simple. We check every file before it prints, or our team can design it for you.
Care
Hand wash or machine wash cold on gentle and hang to dry. No bleach, tumble dryer or iron. Bring the flag in during storms to make it last.

Artwork requirements
Upload print-ready files as PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, JPG, or PNG at 300 DPI in CMYK color. Extend backgrounds 0.125" past the trim edge (bleed) and keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside it (safe area). Every file is checked by our team before production — if something's off, we'll contact you before anything prints.
Proofing and production
Production time starts after your artwork passes file review — not at checkout. If your order requires proof approval, we'll send the proof and the production clock starts once you approve it. Turnaround options for each product are shown in the configurator above.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery time is production time plus transit. Once your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Transit depends on your address and the shipping method selected at checkout — larger format items may ship separately from small-format printing.

Should I choose a teardrop or a feather flag?
Choose a teardrop flag when your design is a logo or a short word, because the rounded shape is much wider and gives a big, square-ish print area. Choose a feather flag when you need height and a tall, narrow message such as SALE, OPEN or a short vertical word, because feather flags go up to 18 ft. Teardrop flags also keep their shape in still air, so they suit indoor spaces well.
What is the difference between single sided, single sided reversed and double sided?
Single sided flags are printed once and the ink soaks through the mesh, so the back shows the same design in reverse, a little lighter. That is the standard choice and it reads well from both directions of traffic. Reversed is the same print with the pole on the other side, which you choose so the front faces the way most people approach. Double sided is two separate prints sewn back to back with a blockout layer between them, so both sides read correctly. Choose it when your flag has text and people pass from both directions.
Which base should I choose for my flag?
The ground stake is included and is right for grass, soil and sand. On concrete, asphalt or indoors you need a base instead: the cross base is the light, portable option, adding a water bag to the cross base gives it extra weight for windy days outdoors, and the steel square base is the heaviest and most stable for permanent spots like a store entrance. The cross base plus ground stake gives you both, so one flag can go anywhere.
How should I set up artwork for a flag?
Send a single page PDF or JPEG in CMYK at 150 dpi, built to the graphic size of the flag you are ordering, with no crop marks and no bleed. Double sided flags need two files, one for each side. Convert spot colours to CMYK and fonts to outlines. Keep logos and words away from the pole sleeve and the edges, and use big, bold lettering: a flag moves and is read from a distance. We check every file before it prints.
How fast can I get custom flags?
Orders of up to 10 flags with artwork approved before 6am Pacific, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day at no extra charge. Artwork approved later than that, or orders of 11 or more flags, ship the next business day. Orders over 100 flags need 2 extra business days. Delivery time depends on the shipping service you choose at checkout.
Can feather and teardrop flags stay outside in the wind?
Yes, they are made for outdoor use. The 4 oz polyester mesh lets wind pass through, and the ground stake sits on a ball bearing so the flag turns with the wind instead of fighting it. On hard ground, add a water bag to the cross base or use the steel square base for extra weight. Bring flags in during storms and very high winds, and take them in at night if you can. They last much longer that way.
Can I wash my flag?
Yes. The flags are dye sublimated, so the colour is inside the fabric and will not crack or peel. Hand wash or machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, then hang to dry. Do not bleach, tumble dry or iron the flag.
